Meet Me at the Alter: Vow Fashion Show Recap

America’s Mart Fall Design Week kicked off this week, and in the midst of quite a few amazing events was the breath-taking Vow: New World of Bridal Fashion Show. This show featured many exhibitors from the America’s Mart Marketplace, such as: Carrafina, Kenneth Winston, Tip Top Kids, Lore, Sophia & Camilla, Alex Evenings, Justin Alexander Bridal, and so many more.

Walking into this venue felt like I was actually walking into a wedding, complete with an alter. Once the lights dimmed and the show began the runway was filled with a variety of wedding looks for the bride, family of the bride, bridesmaids, flower girls, and even the wedding guests. I will highlight some trends form the show below.

1. V-Shaped/Low Cut Neckline

This neckline on a simplistic gown offers a sexy yet elegant look for a bride’s big day. Pair this neckline with a statement necklace to top off this look. (Dresses by Carrafina, Kenneth Winston)

2. Embellishments

Lace, pearl, jewels, tassels, are all great additions to a gown. Embellishments make a statement and require little to no accessories. (Dresses by Dreams by Eddie K and Lotus Threads)

3. Nontraditional Attire for Brides

I fell in love with the ensembles below. They offer a variation to the traditional bridal gown, can even serve as a more comfortable reception look. (Dresses by Carrafina and Justin Alexander Bridal)

4. The Puffy Flower Girl Dress/Skirt

Watching a flower girl walk down the aisle is one of the cutest moments of a ceremony. Add a puffy dress/skirt to watch them prance down the aisle in and the cute factor goes off the charts. (Dresses by Tip Top Kids)
